Ingredients of chromatics

COLOR

Because perception of color stems from the varying sensitivity of different types of cone cells in the retina to different parts of the spectrum, colors may be defined and quantified by the degree to which they stimulate these cells.

We must remind ourself of light -it self, with its uncultivated, alien, and ceaseless bombardment of energy onto our planet.I really like to think in the terms of Origins and simplification of a hue?

Lets ponder this?

1. orgin of light(color) being made at the center of the Sun-released off the surface and traveles 8 mins to reach the earth
2. when that energy is reflected or absorbed
3. so my frog friend is reflecting only the red end of the spectrum and absorbing all the others
4. now that energy is reflected into my varying sensors of different types of cone cells in the retina inside my body
5. now it is send to the BRAIN in three channels: a red-green channel, a blue-yellow channel and a black-white "luminance" channel
6. and there we name it,and give it value and feelings
7. so is color inside out OR outside in?

Careful As Light

When i look at these images i think of Rene Descarte.

1. Rene Descartes (1596-1650) – The Father of Modern Philosophy
   • Brilliant mathematician impressed by the precision and certainty of mathematics.
   • Started out full of doubt (scepticism) but wanted certainty in life.
   • He rejected everything he had previously believed to look for a basis of certainty in his own rational powers.
   • ‘ Cogito Ergo Sum !’
   • ‘ Because our senses sometimes deceive us, I must suppose nothing is as it appears’
   • And the facts of love when speaking of relationships, especially the idea of love at first sight. And how a cloud of doubt is thrown up in our face ,when we meet the "love" as we think .
   • But we want so much for this to be the one ...so we look straight though the distortion of lights.( like the heat of the flame and how it chance the trees)
   • 'Carefull as light' is a playful pun,because light needs not think of the troubles if it is wrong....

Sickness and Health

I'm very pleased with this one, Over a year old, and finally got around to PS this weekend.I guess a rainy day is good for something.I'm starting to see recurring themes in all my work now. For reasons unknown to my conscious mind , i continue this subject matter of green hues in all my physical work, may it be sculpture, painting or photography. Maybe it's the ambiguity of contradictory meanings? In some cultures, green symbolizes hope and growth, while in others, it is associated with death, sickness. Maybe this is what has happen here ,a demonstration of Ambiguous Aesthetics.

Going to Italy!!

Number one PICK!

What a slow poster i am,maybe 4 months old. So 'Alex' Toledo was about to be off to see her grandmother that lived in Sicily (Italy). She hadn't seen her in almost 10 years! So i thought i would take some nice pictures of her to give her grandmother. She was very nervous at first and actually when to my car to take a shot of Wild Turkey that i had in my trunk....haha to loosen up! After that the shoot turned a 180 and the shots turned beautiful!
